On Sunday October 6th the boys from Galpin’s House intend to score as many (basketball) hoops as possible between 8am and 6pm as part of their Hoops for Hope charity event. They are raising money for the following charity:

• Toilet Twinning - a charity that funds global water, sanitation and hygiene programmes run by Tearfund.

• Approximately 2 billion people are living without a proper toilet. Every day, over 700 children under 5 die from diarrhoea linked to unsafe water, sanitation and hygiene. Without proper toilets people get trapped in a vicious cycle of bad health, high child mortality and poverty.

• We wish to twin all 13 toilets in Galpin’s House with 13 newly built toilets in poor communities across the world (Cote D’Ivoire, DR of Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Sudan Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe), and so help fund this good work to improve basic hygiene, health education and access to clean water for all. The twinning of each toilet will cost £60 per toilet twin.
