It's the 40th birthday this year of Inflammatory Neuropathies UK (formerly GAIN) , and as the Chief Executive, I thought I'd better do something special. So I thought, Rich, you like running, why don't you run 40 miles for the 40th birthday.

So, I entered the Grim Reaper Ultra Marathon in Lincolnshire, and will be running 40 miles on Saturday 24th May 2025. It seemed such a good idea at the time.

For those that don't know, Inflammatory Neuropathies UK is the only UK charity that support people impacted by Inflammatory Neuropathies such as Guillain-Barré syndrome and CIDP. These rare autoimmune conditions impact on the peripheral nervous system, leading to both short and long term issues, which can include paralysis.
