Story
My challenge is all about raising much needed funds for this incredible cause and the care and support we received when my Dad needed it the most My Dad never wanted to suffer or struggle at home and had a wish to be cared for in his final stages at this amazing Pendleside Hospice.
Little did we know at this most difficult time that the Hospice would become our little family of love, care, compassion and support through our darkest of days.
We were truly blessed to have such care when we needed it most they allowed me to be involved in his care and this was so important to me.
I’ll treasure the days and memories of the time he spent in the Hospice where he was pain free and loved by all around him. A team of angels.
Pendleside Hospice is a not-for-profit organisation which exists to provide services that enhance the quality of life for local people living with advancing, long term and life limiting illnesses, through to end of life and in bereavement. Pendleside expects to incur total running costs of around £5.5 million during financial year 2023/2024. With approximately 22% of these costs being funded through NHS grants, the charity needs to raise around £4.3 million from other sources in order to cover the balance of anticipated annual expenses.
