In 2024 we're taking to pounding the pavements again in another mother-and-daughter marathon challenge (and this time we're aiming to go a little faster!). Here's why...

Family is everything for us - we're so lucky to have each other and to be in a situation where we're supported by people who love us unconditionally and who have our backs. But not everyone is so fortunate - shockingly 9 in every 30 children in the UK are now going to school hungry, for example. And many, many families are in need of support for a wide variety of issues from financial to mental health.

Family Action transforms lives by providing practical, emotional and financial support to those who are experiencing poverty, disadvantage and social isolation across the country. It's for this reason it's the chosen charity partner of Good Housekeeping for 2024 (the magazine brand that Gaby works for) and why we want to run the marathon in support of its work.

Your sponsorship will go towards providing innovative services for those in need, strengthening families and communities, building skills and resilience and improving the life chances of vulnerable children and adults.
