Story
Hello dear family member/ friend/colleague – thank you for visiting our fundraiser page.
We are crazy! Yes, we are as we decided to join Strictly Fun Dancing event team for 2023. We are taking part in 10 weeks of training sessions to learn the tango and the salsa. We will then head straight to the Grand Finale which will take place at the Winter Gardens (Weston -S- Mare) on November 4th where we will perform against other couples.
“Weston Hospice Care is the chosen charity of my project that I work for. Since day one I’ve been heavily involved in volunteering/donations/fundraisers for the hospice. Seeing all the hard work behind the scenes makes me want to do even more and help the hospice as well as people who need the vital support that it offers. I always thought that if I have two hands why not to use one for helping others. A huge challenge where I learn how to dance from scratch but why not? “- Gabriele
“For my personal birthday gift, I chose to support Weston Hospice Charity knowing the good things and help they provide for those in need. In helping them I’m helping people in need. This is not the first charity I am involved in but unlike others where I choose to stay behind the curtains, in this one I put myself on the dance floor. It is a great journey for 10 weeks to master along with my dancing partner a series of steps knowing that at the end people support is directed for those in need. I chose many years ago to be committed and do good things for humanity, today is another reason to do it in a challenging and elegant way as well. I hope everyone’s support not just for me, but for humanity in general and for Weston Hospice Care” – Paul

We’re not confident that paying to see us dance will be worth the money 😊 – we will try our best! - but it helps us knowing that all the moneys will be going to a very special cause!
* VIP ticket ( bought directly from us) - £25, it will include designated seat at the VIP table, food and some refreshments.
You can also buy the ticket directly from Hospice but we won't be able to get you on our own VIP tables -

We believe everyone should enjoy the best possible quality of life at the end of their lives and we strive to serve the finest care to those in Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding areas who are experiencing suffering from a life-limiting illness.
Receiving an end-of-life diagnosis can be difficult, not just for the patient but also for their loved ones. At Weston Hospicecare, our team of palliative care experts is dedicated to working together to provide specialist support. Our social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical care helps guide people through one of the most difficult experiences they will ever face. With only 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we have to raise £4 million each year to fund our care - something that's only made possible by our community.
