Story
In loving memory of my dear friend Marios Limnios who sadly passed away this year to cancer at the age of 46, I’m dedicating my attempt to complete the London Marathon and the Cascais Ironman (70.3) to raise money for a Sarcoma dedicated charity.
As I’ve never run a marathon or competed in an Ironman before, I don’t know if I’ll finish these or even make it to the starting line but I promise to try my hardest and will fight to the end just like Marios did.
Please join me on this journey as I try to raise money to try and combat this horrible disease that kills so many loved ones and give the next person a better chance of making it.
These are some of the words I would use to describe the Marios I knew: Kind, Caring, Loving, Honest, Inspiring, Motivating, Funny, Clever, Smart, Faithful, Hardworking, Dedicated, Determined, Confident, Fearless, Fighter, Husband, Father, Son, Friend!
I will never forget you Marios, thanks for being my friend and for all the incredible memories that I will cherish forever. I would not be the same person I am today without you. The world is a better place having had you and will certainly be emptier without you. Rest in Peace now my brother and see you on the other side.
