Story
Anna P, Jill H, and Anna N are heading back to school and eating nothing but school dinners for twelve hours, to fund school uniforms for financially vulnerable children.
Think soggy cornflakes for breakfast, mashed potato from an ice cream scoop for lunch and pink custard and chocolate concrete for dinner.
Why are we taking on this challenge?
Every year the Fashion & Textile Children's Trust (FTCT) gives out more than £100,000 in grants to fund uniform for financially vulnerable families, ensuring they can purchase all the items their children need for school.
But with the cost of living crisis driving a rise in applications, FTCT is now looking to raise an additional £10,000 through an appeal which begins today.
A school uniform seems like a simple thing, but for children it can make a huge difference.
It’s the difference between blistered feet and comfortable shoes for growing feet. It’s the difference between getting teased and fitting in.
It’s the difference between getting sent home and getting a full day of learning
By supporting this fundraiser, you’re giving a lifeline to parents and caregivers who desperately need our help.
