Story

On the 20 September Fourfront, friends and family will come together to celebrate Katie Yeomans life by taking part in a challenging walk in and around her home town, Brighton. In doing so, we are hoping to raise further awareness and raise money for MDS UK who help people suffering with this condition and their families. Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) are a type of rare blood cancer where your body doesn’t produce enough healthy blood cells. Sadly this was the condition that Katie battled with for many years. For most people, unfortunately MDS cannot be cured, but it can be controlled and often improved with treatment.

Katie joined our Fourfront family in November 2015. Katie had an infectious smile, and the ability to light up any room. Despite Katie’s serious health struggles towards the end of her life, she still showed immense courage and selflessness. Many of us are very thankful to have been able to call Katie a colleague.

Forever in our hearts as a ray of sunshine.
