Story
Your donations could help fund projects around the world that enable people to receive training and learn new skills, so they can build sustainable livelihoods, just like Rizo in DRC.
Rizo was forced to abandon her studies due to lack of resources, and moved to Goma to work as a domestic servant. When this job fell though, she had to live on the streets.
Thanks to CAFOD's partner CAJED, Rizo now takes part in their seamstress training to help her earn a living and build a better future for herself.
Rizo says "I think we need to continue to educate other young people to leave the streets and show them the benefit of learning how to build a better future. I was on the street with a friend who had had a child. I told her about the programme and she agreed to come and do the training as well. Today she is learning to sew, like me."
Thanks to your support, people like Rizo living in Goma, DRC, can continue building a better future for themselves. Thank you.
