The YMCA of South Palm Beach County is an important part of my life and I'm so proud to support its charitable mission. I can testify first-hand the impact of the Y in our community through the countless stories of those served. I know that every dollar I give stays local and 100% goes to the cause.

So I was asked to help raise money for the YMCA. At first I was thinking, why would I ask people to donate to a place they may not even belong to? Then I took some time to think about this. I went through all my photos that included the YMCA. I was surprised by all the family events and activities we attended. We started with mommy and me classes to provide social skills for the kids when they are young. We attended swim lessons so both the kids can become skillful swimmers. My son joined soccer for a few seasons to test out his athletic abilities. My husband uses the gym to remain fit and healthy. Both kids attended the Y for VPK. We have used the YMCA for camp days over the summer. My family also attended events like the color run/trunk or treat/breakfast with santa/ etc. So what I have come to realize was "why not?" Why not help raise money for such a good cause. Why not help others in the community?

I am fundraising in memory of my amazing father in law who, along with my mother in law was able to raise millions for their own YMCA.
