Beyond Ourselves was founded in 2008 in the UK with the goal of bringing a high quality education to children across Zambia. With the use of their own contextualised Jolly Phonics Teacher Aid, which was recently ratified by the Zambian Ministry of Education, they have been able to ensure teachers are learning how to read and write, increasing literacy amongst younger children and, in doing so, allowing them to carry on their education. On top of this, Beyond Ourselves offers financial aid to schools in the Copperbelt Province, ranging from feeding programmes for the children who need it most to high school bursaries.

Having already taught some of the children at Limapela School online, I believe that this is the perfect opportunity to make a small difference and help the children to read and write in person!
