Story
As many of you are aware Savannah underwent life saving open heart surgery in the middle of the pandemic May 2020 and again this year.
Only 7 1/2 weeks after open heart surgery Our little warrior is going to join the other heart warriors on Sunday 10th September to participate in the annual Superhero Walk. Dressed as their favourite superhero’s they’ll walk 1km, which for their little legs and hearts can be a long way.
We’re trying to raise as much funds as we can for the amazing charity Children’s Heart Surgery fund who have supported us with our journey from day one. They have provided us with emotional support, provided accommodation for us to be near when Savannah underwent her surgeries. So much more they do behind the scenes and without them many families would struggle… I know we would’ve.
The Children's Heart Surgery Fund supports children and adults born with congenital heart disease across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire. Working alongside the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit at Leeds Children's Hospital, we are funded by generous donations from the general public, our corporate supporters and by the amazing efforts of our fundraisers.
