Story
On April 27th 2025, I will be running the London Marathon as part of the Sue Ryder team, in memory of my Gran, Auntie and Uncle.
As part of my fundraising and training I will be running the Cheltenham Half Marathon on September 1st 2024 as well.
Sue Ryder is a charity very very close to my heart and I would be so appreciative if you could support all the incredible palliative and bereavement work that they do. They ensure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can access the support they need.
After a very tough year for my family, following the passing of my Auntie Shirley after a very short battle with cancer, and her husband and my Uncle Bob who passed after a bleed on the brain, Sue Ryder were brilliant in guiding us through some of the toughest moments. In the summer of 2023, Sue Ryder Leckhamption were again so caring and supportive with my Gran during her final weeks of life, enabling her to stay at home with us.
For anyone that knows me, you’ll know that at the start of this year I couldn’t even run across the road so to take on this challenge is a huge achievement for a brilliant cause.
