Team Hill House are taking part in PinkRibbonWalk2024-DevelopmentBoardChallenge

A group of friends all linked by the wonder that is Hill House and hoping to raise money for further research into Breast Cancer.

Rosie and I are both proud former Hill House parents; we met when our boys started in Flood Street in September 2011 so, firm friends from Day 1.

We both owe our lives to scientific research. Without it we would have had very different prognoses. I was told that my cancer journey, which started in 2012, when my little Hill House boy was only four years old, would not have had such a positive outcome had I had the same cancer only 5 years earlier. I am lucky that research into Breast Cancer was being done at pace before my diagnosis. The same goes for Rosie’s cancer, diagnosed in 2020. It is thanks to the amazing new immunotherapies that her secondary cancer is not just kept under control, but the holes in her bones have even re-absorbed. 🥂 We celebrate this regularly: she is holey no more!

We want a future where everyone is able to tackle all the different variants of breast cancer, which also affect some men, knowing that clever, cancer-busting (yup) research has given them a future to look forward to.

As is always the nature with these things, this can only be achieved with continued funding, so here we are, walking for all those affected and their loved ones: past, present and future.
