Story
So far, I've done 10 Barry Bootcamp classes in 14 days and have run wild (with Run the Wild) through the Chilterns (13k!) on May 4th (be with me!).
It's part of a suit of mad physical challenges I've given myself to raise money and awareness for Refugees at Home with my friend, Iyad Yousef.
My next stop is the Brecon Beacons for a Fell Running, MapRun and Yoga Weekend (with Element Active) and finally Iyad and I will run together on what might well be a very hot 14th July as part of the ASICS Corporation London 10k.
Thank you so much, everyone, for keeping me on track and for all the support thus far.
Refugees At Home was started by a group of volunteers who wanted to help some of the many refugees and asylum seekers in this country who found themselves destitute and unable to find shelter or accommodation.
Launched in early 2016, Refugees At Home has made over 5,000 placements with hosts who have a spare room and a kind heart. This translates into 450, 273 nights not spent on the street or riding the night buses.
If you would like to consider hosting or volunteering, please visit www.refugeesathome.org where you can register online.
