Story
This October, I’m taking part in the GROW for Good Challenge in Kenya with a team of women leaders from the food industry. GROW stands for Growing Resilience and Opportunities for Women.
Cycling 75km through Embu County, I'll be camping at three women-run farms participating in Farm Africa’s Regenerative Agriculture Project. Lending a helping hand on each farm and connecting with the community, I will be learning the challenges these resilient women face.
At the end of the challenge, I'll be participating in a roundtable discussion in Nairobi focused with female industry leaders to develop actions on how to improve opportunities for women in the global food system.
This challenge is fully funded, so I invite you to donate whatever you can to support Farm Africa’s continue its remarkable efforts to help farmers escape poverty:
£26 could provide drought tolerant seeds for a female farmer
£48 could supply tools for regenerative farming
£130 could fund training for one Village-Based Advisor
Thank you!
