Raising funds to support the Beach Wheelchairs in St Andrews. Over the next 12 months we will be raising funds for an extension to the beach wheelchair house to accommodate new chairs and more people. We have a target of £15,000.

Story

The St Andrews Beach Wheelchairs are now looking to extend their home at the West Sands and are starting to fundraise to make this possible.

This initiative provides free access to specialist beach wheelchairs, enabling individuals with mobility challenges to enjoy the beautiful coastline of St Andrews at the West Sands. These all terrain wheelchairs allow users to navigate the beach safely, offering a unique opportunity for everyone to experience the joys of the seaside. The demand for this service has grown significantly, with visitors travelling across the country to use the equipment.

I am looking forward to celebrating my 60th birthday with special family and friends, but please, no presents. Instead if you would like to donate to this special cause which was a lifeline to my very good friend Sandra Weir when her mobility was compromised by her illness.
