Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June 2023, Ashton was diagnosed with a condition called Fragile X Syndrome. This year we are looking to raise as much money as possible for the Fragile X Society.

Between Cheryl and I, we are completing the following:

- 7/4/24 Kilomathon Edinburgh - running 13.1K

- 28/4/24 Glasgow Kiltwalk - walking 23 miles

- 2/6/24 Aberdeen Kiltwalk - walking 18 miles

- 11/8/24 Dundee Kiltwalk - walking 21. 5 miles

- 18/8/24 Scottish Half Marathon - running 13.1 miles/21k

Fragile X Syndrome (FXS) is a genetic condition, affecting around 1 in 4000 males and 1 in 6000 females. It can cause a wide range of difficulties with learning, as well as social, language, attentional, emotional, and behavioural problems. FXS is the most common inherited cause of learning disability. The Fragile X Society aims to improve the lives of those affected by Fragile X and associated conditions by providing information and continued support to families and professionals they work with. Working together with those affected, the Society supports an inclusive community of people who understand the specific needs of Fragile X.
