Story

Join us to celebrate Foster Care Fortnight in Derry/Londonderry!

On Thursday 23 May we will be bringing the fostering community together for a walk to raise awareness and celebrate the difference that fostering makes for children and young people in Northern Ireland.

We will be meeting at the Guildhall at 1pm and walking a short and accessible route (less than two miles) across the Peacebridge and Craigavon Bridge and back again.

Everyone is welcome so whether you are a foster carer, a fostering friendly employer, a member of a fostering team or a supporter of our cause, we would love to see you there!

We will also be joined on the walk by a special guest, Olympic legend, Fatima Whitbread! Fatima says,

"This Foster Care Fortnight I am joining foster families, fostering services, supporters and friends on Foster Walks around the UK, helping to raise funds for The Fostering Network. I know change is possible when people come together to work for a shared vision. Will you join me in celebrating and supporting the fostering community this Foster Care Fortnight?"
