Fundraising for Cardiac Risk in the Young
Myself and my friend Lucy will be running the London Half Marathon in memory of our best friend Liv. Our lives and many others were turned upside down when we tragically lost our best friend on the 12th of June last year due to a sudden cardiac arrest.
Liv was so full of life, laughter and most of all kindness, and her passing left a huge whole in so many hearts. She was the kind of friend who could turn even the smallest moments into the best memories. We would spend hours on end talking about everything and nothing, our dreams, our futures, and the endless stories that made up our lives. No matter what, we were always laughing, she had this incredible way of making the world feel lighter, brighter, and full of possibility. Losing her has left a space that can never be filled, but the love, joy, and memories she gave us will stay in our hearts forever.
Liv was the life and soul of every moment, always putting her family and friends first and cherishing every second spent with the people she loved. She had the biggest heart and the most infectious energy, making everyone around her feel special. We just know she would think we were absolutely crazy for running this, she’d be laughing at us every step of the way! But the truth is, she deserves every single thing we do for her and everything we will continue to do in her name. More than anything, we just want to make her proud, to carry her love and light forward, and to keep her memory alive in the best way we can.
To honour her, we are raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), a foundation that works to prevent sudden cardiac deaths through vital screenings, research, and support for affected families. Every step we take is for Liv and to help save young lives. Any donation, big or small, means the world - thank you for your support!
We love you more than anything in the world Livvy❤️🩹
