Story

With the amazing assistance from Grief Encounter, children who have lost a parent or sibling and their families, receive help to understand the grief that accompanies the loss of a close relative and how to cope and deal with this, and learn to have a full life and even smile again.

Every year, 46,000 families face the death of a parent or sibling, that means 1 child in every classroom will have lost a parent or sibling.

Five years ago, Suzanne, lost her husband in a traumatic sudden incident whilst abroad. They immediately had to start rebuilding their lives without him, an enormous loss. Without the help of Grief Encounter, she and her children, would not be where they are today, one married happily with a daughter, three of them with successful, fulfilling jobs and the youngest now at university having achieved 4 As at A Levels.

Grief Encounter ask for nothing when you go to them for help. It is solely your donations which help these families at the worse times of their lives and you will absolutely make a difference to them with your donation.
