5k Anyway

Since 2020 we have awarded over £5 million to over 9000 care workers. We need your support to continue our work.

Story

Forest Healthcare are delighted to support the Care Workers Charity as our 'Charity of Choice' again in 2023. The Care Workers’ Charity was founded in 2009 with the objective of supporting current and former care workers with one-off crisis grants. Since 2020 they have paid out over £ 4.5 million in Grants to almost 7,000 care workers in need.

Our first groupwide fundraising event will be ‘Going the Extra Mile Week’ in May. All Forest Healthcare homes are invited to send representation to Belmont Lodge Care Centre in Chigwell, Essex on Friday, 26th of May at 4.00 pm to complete a 5k walk with staff, residents, friends & families.

Alternatively, Forest Healthcare homes can host their own 5k anyway event between the 22nd and 26th of May. This page is to be utilised to fundraise for all 'Going The Extra Mile' events across the group. Thank you, your fundraising will make a big difference to care workers' lives.
