This year, my brother-in-law Rob and I will be taking on the challenge of running (and possibly hobbling) through the London Marathon to raise crucial funds for Ashgate Hospice in loving memory of my late Mum, Linda.

In the beginning of 2023, we sadly lost Mum to breast cancer. During her journey, she spent time at Ashgate Hospice and constantly praised the exceptional care provided by the facility and its dedicated staff.

Our goal is to honor the memory of Mum by supporting Ashgate Hospice in continuing to deliver such remarkable care to others in need.

London Marathon 2024's #TeamAshgate is full of wonderful runners this year, all working hard to raise money for Ashgate Hospice.

We provide specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting illnesses across North Derbyshire. Ashgate hospice also provides support for the families of those we care for, and all our services are available in the community, patients own homes, and in our 21-bed in-patient unit located in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Help our team reach their fundraising targets as they take on one of the most iconic races in the world: The London Marathon!
