Story
Children’s Heart Surgery Fund was nominated by Lead Software Engineer, Callum Leahy who is based in our Leeds office. Callum shared a few words on why he nominated the charity: “I nominated Children’s heart surgery fund to give something back after all they did for my family, when my Son was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. It was the hardest period of my life, but during the five months it took from birth until we got him home from his surgery, they were with us every step of the way. Through a partnership with Flutter, Children’s Heart Surgery Fund will be able to continue to fund specialist cardiac nurses, medical equipment, emotional and financial support to families and even more, they’re only a small charity and this really could change everything for them.” Children’s Heart Surgery Fund was founded in 1988. Since then, has awarded over £10 million in grants to the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit, its patients and their families, as well as funding important research proposals.
