Amy, Alex and I are running the Brighton & Hove 10k to raise funds for the Anne Robson Trust - an amazing charity that helps support people in the precious last days and hours of their life.

Set up in tribute to my grandma, Anne Robson after she sadly died in Hospital in 2010 by my amazing mum Liz, The Anne Robson Trust has touched the lives of thousands of people to make a positive difference.

Far too many people face the end of life in isolation. Tens of thousands more are struggling with the fear, silence and ignorance that surrounds death and dying.

Death and dying is universal to life and living, despite the pain and loss it brings.

The Anne Robson Trust aims to help improve people’s experience of death through compassion, companionship and education, by:

- Helping healthcare organisations to build teams of trained volunteers who give their time to people who are dying, and those close them.

- Educating and encouraging people to better understand death and dying.

- Bringing fresh thinking to the inevitability of mortality in a way that fosters new thinking and breaks conventional taboos.

Since 2018, The Anne Robson Trust has helped support over 28,000 people and have visited over 25,000 patients in hospital who are nearing the end of their life.

Your donation will help to set up more teams of volunteer visitors, who sit with dying patients, read to them, or simply hold their hand.
