Take on the worlds biggest half marathon, the 13.1 mile route from Newcastle to South Shields to raise funds for St John's Hospice.

Story

Join us in our mission to support St John's Hospice by participating in the Great North Run 2024.

St John's Hospice provides essential care to patients with life-limiting conditions in North Lancashire, South Lakes, and parts of North Yorkshire. Their dedicated team offers a range of vital services, including in-patient care, hospice at home service, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and bereavement support.

With only a third of their funding provided by the local NHS, they rely on events, community donations, grants, and legacies to cover the remaining costs. Your donations can make a significant impact. For example, £20 could provide an hour of therapy for a patient or their carer, £7 could buy a patient a delightful meal, and £75 could fund a Hospice at Home two-person team visit.

By donating through JustGiving, you can ensure that your contribution directly supports the hospice's crucial work.

Let's come together to make a difference and help St John's Hospice continue their invaluable care for those in need.
