Fiona's fundraiser for St Michael's Hospice (Hereford)

Fiona Williams is raising money for St Michael's Hospice (Hereford)

Velocity Zip Wire Flight · 2 May 2025

We provide a range of services in Herefordshire and the surrounding area to people living with a terminal illness. Care is free to patients, their families and carers. This is thanks to supporters taking part in events, visiting our shops, playing our Lottery, donating and leaving gifts in wills.

Story

Hello everyone, I have always wanted to do a zipline but have never had the courage until now, so I thought I would do Velocity in North Wales over Penrhyn Quarry, which is the biggest in the UK and Europe’s longest!

I have just turned 80 and recently had a mini stroke so I felt this is the time to face my fears and try and raise some money for somewhere very dear to my and a lot of people in Herefordshire’s hearts.

It is vital that everyone that needs it has the appropriate care and support they need to cope with a terminal illness and The Hospice is vital to the people of Herefordshire. Any donation to this extremely worthy cause will be gratefully received.

Many thanks Fiona x
