Story

Thanks for engaging! Here's the plan !

I'm exploring the 169 miles of canal from the tidal waters at Goole to Liverpool by run/walking about 30 miles per day . It will take all my energy !

What better cause to support than the waterways chaplaincy that serves visitors and locals .

The canals are a refuge for nature, boaters, fishers , cyclists, walkers , runners and those who want to stop and stare.

Sadly canals hide a harder life for some. The winters can be harsh and fuel expensive . The chaplains help with practical needs such as enabling a mobile community to access health care, food parcels, bureaucracy. They listen to and care for the lonely, sad and depressed and offer spiritual help to residents and visitors. It is a hidden service in a hidden world .

If you can sponsor me it is great for the charity but helps me to keep moving when it gets tough. I've often dug deeper in events when I know my sponsors are rooting for me .

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thank you
