We Raise funds re bird of prey conservation to counter the decline in bird numbers

Story

This teen really cares about wildlife - Isla appreciates the delicate ecosystem that protects us all & the important role that a certain bird plays in this…………..Isla is prepared to climb Little Chamonix on Shepherds Crag in Keswick to raise money to help these misunderstood & wonderful birds……………Vultures; they are vital to us all & they are being poisoned. If they can be saved then they save us? How? These scavengers do the dirty work of cleaning up after death, helping to keep ecosystems healthy and prevent the spread of disease amongst animals and humans.

Isla is raising money for Gauntlet Birds of Prey based in Knutsford who work throughout Africa too to safe these wonderful life savers who work with so many conservation charities...............

Gauntlet's goal is to try and reach people from all walks of life, all ages and all degrees of learning abilities to convey the message that animals are a vital part of our world and without education, protection and conservation life simply cannot continue.

About the charity

Many species of birds of prey worldwide have seen dramatic reductions in numbers over the last ten years e.g. as a result of the impact of poaching, the inadvertent use of drugs or simply being persecuted. GCT seeks to raise awareness of the problem and provide funds to fight it.
