Story

I’m cycling 300kms (the distance from London to Paris) around Orkney to raise money for Duchenne UK. I’ll start on 5 May and cycle every day until I’ve reached the distance. I’ll keep you up to date with my progress … or follow me on Strava. Hopefully I’ll have some company along the way 🤞 Thank you for your kind donations which really will change lives.

Our son Isaac (age 9) lives with DMD so this is a charity very close to our hearts. Duchenne UK is transforming the landscape for those with DMD - they are incredible. Isaac has taken part in 2 clinical trials which wouldn’t have happened without this charity. They focus on clinical research and getting medical treatments to patients. They spend every single penny well. You can read more about them at www.duchenneUK.org. 💙

Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys. Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development. Together, we will end Duchenne.
