On Sunday 25th August, myself and my warrior sister (Eilidh) are taking part in the "Off the Beatson Track" 10k walk (jog, run, shimmy, dance) through Glasgow's West End, to raise money to support patients and families living with cancer.

Eilidh was originally diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, and in November 2023 she was given the news that this had progressed to metastatic breast cancer. She's recently completed 6 rounds of chemotherapy, and after her next scan will commence further treatment.

I'm in complete awe of her strength and positivity since her diagnosis, and throughout her treatment, and I'm super proud to have her as my big sister.

Sadly, many people know someone with cancer or have been diagnosed themselves with this horrible disease.

Life is short, life is precious and life is for living (and laughing)!!  Please help us raise money for such a wonderful cause.

The last ten years have seen over 14,000 participants walk over 86,800 miles - making it Glasgow's brightest sponsored walk as we turn Glasgow's west end Beatson yellow. This fun-filled 10k walk is fully accessible and perfect for all ages, making it a great day out, full of family entertainment, and a great way to raise much needed funds to support patients and families living with cancer.

At Beatson Cancer Charity we believe that no-one should face cancer on their own. This has always been our aim and we will work hard to continue to support even more people and families in the years to come.
