Story

I am taking part in the Glasgow kiltwalk in April 2025 in aid of Jacobi’s Wish. Jacobi has been a pupil at my school in Inverallochy since nursery and I wanted to do a fundraising event for him before he transfers to the academy this summer

I have watched him grow and battle through everything he has to deal with on a daily basis but more importantly he does it with a smile and always a cheery story to share.

Please give generously for a smashing young lad. All monies will go to further research to fund trials for medication in the hope that a cure can be found for all the boys with this limiting condition.

Jacobi's Wish supports Duchenne UK a charity that has one clear aim to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).

DMD is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys. Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development.

Together, we will end Duchenne.
