Running for HCCN: Cambridge Half Marathon 2025

Cambridge Half Marathon 2025 · 9 March 2025 ·
💙 I’m Running for HCCN 💙
On Sunday, 9th March 2025, I’ll be taking on the Cambridge Half Marathon to raise funds for Hunts Community Cancer Network (HCCN).
HCCN supports adults in Huntingdonshire living with or beyond cancer, providing emotional, physical, and practical support to help them regain control and enjoy a better quality of life.
A year ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was fortunate to have lots of family support but it meant so much to know that HCCN were there for a conversation or for a spot of yoga or tai chi. It’s a very daunting and clinical world to suddenly be thrown into and organisations like HCCN really do provide that all-important friendly face. I know that their support is invaluable for many people and it's for this reason that I'm fundraising for them.
And why the Cambridge Half? I had a place to run it in 2024, but being between surgery and radiotherapy I had to forgo my place (to my husband, Anthony!). It was to be another long few months before I was to get my running shoes back on. I'm so grateful that a year on, I'm clear of cancer and back to my old busy life.
Your donation will go directly toward:
Supporting local individuals and families affected by cancer.
Expanding services to reach more people in need.
