Finley's story:
Finley has been assigned to Team PSP Logistics through one of our crew members, Jeremine Hurst, to help support the crew, make sure we circumnavigate safely and keep morale high in the team. He will also help spread the Water Safety messages of the RNLI across the globe. #FloattoLive
Whilst Finley joins the exceptional team of 9 round the world crew members, there's another 58 crew members who will join the 70-foot Clipper race yacht, CV29, and complete one or more race legs. These crew members are called 'Leggers'. So similar to a relay, a 'legger' from Team Mike will be Finley's custodian for each leg of the race (8 legs in total). Each of these leggers will make sure Finley's fed & watered, helps with the many sailing evolutions, is proactive in all the safety drills, cooks some delicious food in the galley and has a hot brew ready, helps with the never ending cleaning & maintenance and does the routine daily checks. Plus add some entertainment and creativity for the crew in true Elf on the Shelf style.
Jerri, Finley's original custodian, will be responsible for Finley on Leg 1.
As part of Finley's circumnavigation, he has also been assigned the task of collecting something intrinsic from each port that the race visits which is thought-provoking or entertaining of that country.

Finley will also be raising money for the children of the world through UNICEF.
UNICEF ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. In 190 countries and territories, UNICEF works to save children’s lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfil their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.
Every donation will help to build a better word for every child.

Many thanks in advance for your support of Finley, the RNLI and UNICEF. It means a lot to him and to all of Team Mike.
