I’m hoping to raise some money for a charity which came to Kieran's aid in his time of need. Ultimately, Kieran's injuries were too much for him to bear, but the amazing work of the Great North Air Ambulance Service crew that day meant we got to spend some precious time with him before he passed away. We will be forever grateful for that.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service rescues hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year throughout the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Their doctor-led critical care teams deliver life-saving treatments at the scene of the incident, whether on a fell top, a roadside or in a city centre.
The charity responded to more than 1,600 call-outs last year via their helicopter and rapid response vehicles, performing treatments and procedures which can mean the difference between life or death.
