Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

In early summer 2023 our lives changed immeasurably.

My mum was always a strong, hard-working woman, but all of a sudden she seemed ill and frail.

Several trips and treatments for co-morbid problems later she still was not improving.

A few more investigations later she was diagnosed with Parkinson's+ Syndrome.

She has gone from working, visiting friends and family entirely independently, to barely being able to stand in just 6 months.

The profound effect that this has had on the lives of me and my siblings is nothing compared to how it must feel to her.

So I wanted to put together something - to do something to help people in this position. To help people coming to terms with their Parkinson's who may not have family around them, and good friends around them.

To improve research, knowledge and future treatment pathways to ensure Parkinson's patients can keep as much of their independence for as long as possible.

This is our chance to make a little difference.

A show of support for this cause would be the greatest Christmas present I could ever ask for.
