Story
⭐ An 80-Year-Old Retired Reverend Brings a Long-Lost Christmas Song to Life — All to Support MIND ⭐
This Christmas, something truly special is happening.
Reverend Manville Wiles, aged 80, is releasing a brand-new festive single to raise vital funds for the mental health charity MIND — and the story behind the song is as uplifting as the music itself.
🎶 A Song Written 60 Years Ago… Finally Comes Alive
Let It Shine at Christmas Time was written by Reverend Wiles when he was a young man in the 1960's, never dreaming it would one day become a beacon of hope for others.
Six decades later, the song has finally been brought to life with a professional studio recording at Red Kite Audio in Sleaford — donated entirely for free.
❤️ A Family Effort Filled With Love
Every musical note and backing vocal on the track has been performed by Manville’s own family and friends, making this project a heartfelt celebration of community, kindness, and Christmas spirit.
🌟 Supporting MIND When It’s Needed Most
“All proceeds from the song will go directly to MIND,” says Reverend Wiles.
After serving 50 years in the Ministry and growing up in Cornwall, he hopes this long-awaited release will bring comfort and light to those who may be struggling during the festive season.
📅 Release Date
1 December 2025
Available on all major streaming and download platforms.
A professionally produced music video (graciously created for free by SDO Media) will launch the same day on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok (@FestiveRev), and YouTube — spreading a message of hope, joy, and togetherness far and wide.
✨ Help This Song Shine
Reverend Wiles’ lifelong wish is for this music to touch hearts and support a cause that matters deeply.
Your donation — big or small — helps MIND continue their essential work in mental health support.
Thank you for helping the light shine a little brighter this Christmas 🕯️💛
