London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 for London Ambulance Charity

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
I am taking on the challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 for the London Ambulance Charity! If you know me personally you may be surprised that I'm taking on this challenge as I've not run this distance before, so please give me lots of love and support on my training and fundraising journey!
A little about me: I am an amatuer runner who moves at a steady snails pace, just plodding along in my own little world. I started running using the couch to 5k method in 2020 just after we went into the first lockdown to get some fresh air and add some purpose to my days. It was a surprise to myself and those who knew me as I had always said I hated running. My little runs helped me to process the chaos of the world during COVID, improve my mental health and keep up some physical fitness. Four years on, I continue to run for my mental and physical health, now helping me to process adult life and my job.
I am a Paramedic working for the London Ambulance Service. I have been qualified for a year and I love my job. Everyday brings different challenges, but what always remains the same is helping someone in their moment of need. Myself and my green family work hard to provide life-saving and life-improving care to the people of London, and the London Ambulance Charity helps us to do that.
The London Ambulance Charity supports all the incredible staff and volunteers of the London Ambulance Service, supporting their physical and mental well-being with a range of initiatives from well being support trucks to much needed station upgrades. Not only do they support staff, but they also fund initiatives to increase community resilience through teaching CPR to adults and school children, and are providing public-access defibrillators all across London.
Another way I am raising money is through selling items on Vinted! All proceeds from the fundraising account will be donated to this page. Each time I hit £30, I will withdraw the money from Vinted and donate to this page, so keep checking in to see how much I can raise by encouraging second hand fashion. Check out the account to see if there's anything that catches your eye! https://www.vinted.co.uk/member/72401257
Thank you for reading my story. Please donate any amount to help reach (or exceed!) my donation target and give lots of love and support to myself and the other runners completing the LLHM2025 for the London Ambulance Charity!
