Story
For years now, myself and my oldest best friends have said for our 30th that we would love to do a skydive. We want to hold ourselves to this promise but want to do it for a charity that’s close to our hearts. So we have all choose separate small charities to help raise some more awareness.
Personally, I will be raising money for a small charity called CLAPA (cleft lip and palate association)
Three babies are born with a cleft lip and/or palate every day in the UK, and they face a 20-year treatment pathway which can continue well into adulthood. The Cleft Lip & Palate Association (CLAPA) is here to make sure no one has to go through this alone.
As most may know my daughter Avery was born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate. She has already had lip surgery and palate surgery with a further bone graft to come in a few years time.
