For 32 years, the Berwick and District Cancer Support Group has assisted those battling cancer in the Berwick & District community.

The Berwick Cancer Cars team is comprised entirely of volunteers, currently 59 in number, made up of trustees, management committee members, client coordinators and drivers. Entirely self-funded, the charity relies on donations and fundraising from the local community and its supporters further afield.

Each year our volunteer team help hundreds of clients to reach their appointments in comfort, safety and without worry to them or their families and loved ones. Our cars making over 1100 roundtrip journeys each year, driving in excess of 130,000 miles between them. The furthest we have driven is to Basingstoke, Hampshire and to Manchester for specialist cancer treatment.

Every one of our Berwick Cancer Car Great North Run Team are heroes, every pound sponsored makes a genuine difference, helping us to continue and expand our vital role to help others.
