I have been very lucky to be given the opportunity to run the London Marathon. I will be raising money for the Children's Trust and St. James's Place Charitable Foundation.

The Children's Trust has a strong personal connection for me due to the work they tirelessly do at Birmingham Children's Hospital.

My youngest son received life saving treatment at BCH at 9 months old, after they discovered he was born without a diaphragm wall. I will be forever grateful for the incredible people who work there and being able to fundraise for The Children's Trust feels like I can finally give something back.

I am not a naturally talented runner, but I am a determined person, the longest distance I have done in the past 10 years is 10K so this is going to be a huge personal challenge.
