Story
My Dad passed away in March 2024 following a short and sudden illness. In his final days he was cared for by a wonderful team at Nottingham City Hospital.
The nurses and doctors gave him the best possible chance of survival. However, despite two operations, he was overwhelmed by sepsis and lost his fight.
It’s been 10 years (and two babies!) since I embarked on long distance running, and I will be dusting off my running shoes to take on the Nottingham Half Marathon in September 2024. I will be raising money for Nottingham University Hospitals, in particular the Critical Care ward, who worked 24/7 to care for Dad in his final days. Monies raised will support staff, facilities and research, which will ultimately help patients and families like ours in their most desperate time of need.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, will help motivate me to get me over the finish line in September.
Thank you x
