Story

So we have decided to run Autumn 10k Wolf Run on the 14th September for Cyclists Fighting Cancer.

This has come about after Oscar joined the Heather Falcon U11s football team last season and whilst getting to know the parents, I have shared some of Oscar troubles before getting onto a football pitch.

Whilst many know I can talk, Oscars treatment & journey fighting cancer is generally something we as a family have kept quite close to ourselves, so this has been something I’ve struggled to write. But after being inspired running the 3k Junior Wolf Run with many Falcons Parents & Children, we have managed to encourage each other to go big and run the 10k Wolf Run on behalf of an amazing charity Cyclist Fighting Cancer!

You would not believe the generosity and impact this Charity has had on Oscar. When treatment was at it’s worse. Consultants were discussing whether Chemo had to stop to save his legs, this bike couldn’t have arrived at a more crucial time. Hand on heart these bicycles, saved his legs from the lasting effects of chemotherapy allowing him to play the sport he now loves, football! Not only have they donated Oscar and his siblings bicycles throughout his treatment they have helped over 9,500 families since 2005.

I urge you to take a look at their website to fully understand the great work they do. https://cyclistsfc.org.uk/

The 6 taking part are Kelly, Richard, Dean, Wayne, Gavin & myself!
