So, we’re well into 2024 and I’m taking on a challenge!

Not many of you will know this, but I’ve always wanted to do a wing walk, and now, guess what, yep, that’s it!!! I’ve only gone and registered to do one.

From when I was a little kid, I’ve always had a love of aviation and fundraising. (being bribed by M&D) I used to shake fundraising tins for the Round Table during the Southend Airshows, and I think that’s where I must have seen my first wing walk on the Crunchie plane and thought, that looks kinda cool.

So, nearly 49 years on this planet later and time to get it done, tick it off that list and raise some money too.

I’m fundraising for the wonderful Havens Hospices, a cause close to my heart and who have supported several people I know. They provide much more than just palliative care for children and adults with incurable or life limiting illnesses, they offer complementary therapies, creative art therapies, wellness care, all with such empathy and compassion.

Havens Hospices need £124k a week in order to deliver their services, and so I’m very happy to offer my help, by strapping myself to a plane and spending an adrenaline fuelled 10 minutes in the air. Wish me luck!

I need to raise a minimum of £750 to complete this challenge, which takes place on 7th September, so please dig deep and sponsor me. I’d be so so grateful!
