Story

May the peace, blessings and mercy of Allah be upon you.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.

In sha Allah I will be taking part in the Walk for the Children of War 2024 this Ramadan, raising funds to help the Children of war.

The Children of war are facing a terrifying situation already traumatised and suffering having witnessed conflict, violence, the loss of their loved ones and destruction of their homes and livelihoods. They are now reliant on aid to survive and at risk from their fragile health system being under enormous strain and on the brink of collapsing.

We need your support to help rebuild the livelihoods of these children, your generosity and support will help provide life-saving food parcels to children and families, suffering in war-torn communities.

“Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and the Hereafter.

The Prophet, upon him be peace, said: “Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.” (Al-Tirmidhu) and “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.” (Al-Tirmidhi)

While we all enjoy Ramadan in the comfort of our homes with ample food to sustain us each day, there are children all over the world who do not have this privilege. No child should suffer from the long-term effects of hunger, especially in the holy month. This is the unfortunate reality for many Palestinian, Rohingya refugees and Syrian, Yemeni, Afghan, Kashmiri and Somalian children who are suffering in environments of persecution and war. Malnutrition, waterborne diseases and a lack of safe shelter are the daily dangers these children face.

FACTS

Gaza:

•   90% of Gazans are dependent on humanitarian assistance. (UNRWA)

• Over 2 million Gazans are food insecure. (UNRWA)

Syria:

• Over 12 million people are in need of humanitarian aid. (WFP)

• There are an estimated 2.8 million IDPs in north-west Syria. 80% of them are women and children.

Rohingya:

• Over half of Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh are children. (UN)

• Rohingya refugees in the camps of Cox’s Bazar are completely reliant on humanitarian aid for their survival. (UN)

Yemen:

• In Yemen, 80 per cent of the total population, including 12.4 million children are in need of humanitarian assistance. (UN)

• Half of Yemeni children under 5 years face severe acute malnutrition. (UN)

Here is your chance to make a difference. This Ramadan, we need your help to ensure that these children receive the food they so desperately need. Just £100 can provide one food parcel that will feed a family for an entire month. Each parcel includes staple food for a family of up to 7 members, which works out to 420 meals for the entire month. With basic food items like flour, oil and rice affected by rising inflation, your support is needed more than ever before. Furthermore, by providing just 1 parcel you can gain the reward of up to 210 Ramadan fasts that would normally take us 7 lunar years to fast.

This is based on the following hadith:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, ’Whoever feeds a person breaking his fast will earn the same reward as him, without anything being lessened from the reward of the fasting person’. [Tirmidhi]

The Prophet (ﷺ) also said, ‘Whoever provides iftar for a fasting person in it (Ramadan) then that shall be a forgiveness for his (the feeder’s) [minor] sins and freedom from the Fire’. [Ibn Khuzaimah]

May Allah reward you for your donation and allow this donation to be a means of you entering Jannah.
