I’’ve decided to give myself a personal challenge by taking part in a trek called the Camino De Santiago Trek, it’s 110 km (70 miles) over 5 days in October of next year. All proceeds raised by myself and others taking part will go to St John’s Hospice (SJH). Our local hospice in Lancaster provides free palliative care to patients with life shortening conditions throughout North Lancashire, Sth Lakes and parts of North Yorkshire. It costs over a staggering 5 million a year to run the hospice , with only 1/3 being provided by Government funding. The remaining 2/3 must be raised through fundraising and donations from supporters and the local community.
