Story
In July 2023 we sadly lost my mam, who was also a loving wife sister, a daughter, a friend and grandma to be. Angela 56, was a fun, outgoing person who was always the light in a dark room and always planning her next fundraising party.
She had a pain in her shoulder for a period of months before having a scan which detected liver cancer which turned out to be the primary. 2 weeks later we as a family was told that it was stage 4 and terminal and we could expect up to a year without treatment and 18months with treatment. However in the days to come mam (Angela) deterated and became to ill for treatment before starting any sort. Later that day mam ended up in hospital and spent 2 weeks in the RVI until she got her wish and came home on the 25th of July 2023 around 3pm.
Sadly the same day mam lost her short battle to cancer ( 7 weeks) at home surrounded by her loved one.
We decided the sir bobby robson charity was fitting to my mam as a charity as my mam loved newcastle united❤️ and thr charity is a local cancer charity who supports people with cancer and their families everyday
So the 8 of us are Angies Army's and are going to the colour rush on the 8th of June at gosforth racecourse in her memory. Event has been canceled however we have decided to do our own colour walk from the rvi where my mam was treated to the bobby robson unit at the freeman hospital which is around 5k
