Book Auction 2024

An auction of books and things relating to writing books from local authors who are fundraising for the East Yorkshire Foodbank.

The Promises range from signed books, to the chance to have your name appear in a book, to having an experienced author/creative writing tutor review three chapters of your writing.

Any of these would make a wonderful Christmas present.

How it works:

The auction will run from 6am on 7th October to 11pm on18th of October 2024. Bid on the Promises [Lots] that you want to win via the site Auction of Promises. https://auctionofpromises.com/EYFBBookAuction2024

When the auction finishes, whoever pledged the highest bid will win that Lot. If you win, we will email you once the auction is finished to let you know the Lot number and the winning bid amount.

Paying for the winning Lots:

Pay for any items you won via this Just Giving page - you can make an extra donation, if you want.

** Please make sure you include the Lot number in the comments that go with the payment, so that we can keep track.**

Once the Lot has been paid for, we will put you in touch with the person who promised it so that you can arrange delivery. PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER. Last year, we had a lot of delivery messages end up in spam folders, which caused delays.

If something goes wrong, and you don`t receive the item that you`ve won, let the Foodbank know and they will refund the donation.

If you don`t win, you can still make a donation. We are grateful for all donations.
