Story
Frensham Heights School’s Headteacher Andrew Fisher is taking on a 5-night extreme camping challenge to raise £5000 for The Fountain Centre.
He is really relying on your generosity and support to get through this crazy week. What was he thinking! Without your support, he might literally be sleeping outdoors in the clothes he's wearing, and he's going to camp in some pretty crazy places! Think of him shivering in the night air, or worse, in a howling gale or downpour! Dig deep, please! Tune into our instagram every evening at 6:30pm to find out where he's camping and what he kit he's got.
How does it work?
Simple, we have a load of kit ready for Andrew to use, BUT only when and if he reaches his fundraising targets. The list below will show you what he needs to raise in order to have basic kit and upgrades. Every penny goes straight to the Fountain Centre.
Every evening, we will give him the kit that has been sponsored and every morning, he will start from scratch again - with only the clothes he's wearing. So get sponsoring! Go to https://www.frensham.org/wintercamping for more info.
Here are some examples of what your money will actually provide:
£5 – “Bag of Kindness” this is a small bag of treats given out to cancer patients on the ward.
£15 – A therapy session for a patient on the ward like a foot massage
£25 – would pay for a one hour counselling session for a patient or an hour complimentary therapy session for example a massage
£50- A month’s supply of massage oil
£75- months’ supply of acupuncture needles. There are huge benefits from acupuncture treatments for the side effects of cancer.
£150- provide refreshments for our cancer patients to enjoy whilst they are waiting for their appointments for a month
Remember, every morning he starts from scratch again. So keep some donations for his craziest camp on Thursday evening!
