Story
Exeter College has chosen Pets as Therapy as our charity of the year. A worthwhile cause that improves the lives of so many people. The college also now has its own full time therapy dog, Digby! Who, accompanied by his human Matt Goodman support learners across all sites as part of their role within the well-being team. Having Pets As Therapy as the college charity fits in well with the great work they and Digby/Matt do.
Donations can be made via this page and will be sent directly to the charity, with 100% of your donation going towards their great work.
About the Charity
Pets As Therapy is a national charity founded in 1983 by Lesley Scott-Ordish. Now like then, Pets As Therapy helps those in our communities most in need of animal companion therapy. Visiting volunteer teams and their behaviourally assessed PAT Dogs or Cats share the love of their own animal with people in hospitals, care homes, schools, prisons, day care centres and so many more establishments. The clients they visit benefit from the wonderful effect a companion animal brings, namely non-judgemental listening, tactile comfort & affection.
